Check out the Walton Family Foundation Scholarship.  Walmart associates can get a $3,000 scholarship.  You need to have been out of school for a minimum time of a year to be eligible to apply.

There is one more scholarship program from the Alliance for Young Writers and Artists.  Lake Forest College students are eligible to apply for this scholarship opportunity.  You are also allowed so send work in non-fiction and poetry.

You can check out the Walmart Higher Reach scholarship program.  Dependents of associates can fund their education with the $13,000 of scholarship money offered over four years.  To apply you have to submit examples of your best essays as well as poetry and non-fiction.

Another scholarship you may want to apply for is the Carnegie Writing Scholarship.  A minimum of two years of college is required before students can apply for the scholarship.  To be eligible to apply, you need to submit a portfolio of your writing and the winner gets from $1000 to $5000 per acadmeic year.
